Spring is finally here in Tasmania, and September 2025 is going to be a busy month of culture and entertainment to celebrate this beautiful season. The gardens are brightening up with color, and the weather is ideal, sun-filled and warming up, perfect for the outdoor events. 

Although the mornings and evenings are cool, Spring is the best time to take advantage of the many events around the island. From north-west tulip farms to arts festivals in Launceston, and boutique wine festivals along the East Coast, there is something for all of us this September.

Upcoming Events in Tasmania

1. Table Cape Tulip Farm

When: Late September to late October 2025

Where: Table Cape, near Wynyard, Tasmania

Table Cape Tulip Farm is open to the public, offering the immaculate views of colorful tulip fields. The Tulip farm is an outstanding spot to enjoy a weekend with the family, strolling through the blooming tulip garden.

Besides that, you can rest at the in-garden café, and stop by the gift shop and gallery that offers local handicrafts.

2. Junction Arts Festival

5.Hobart City Floral Shows – Spring Show

When: Friday, 12 September 2025 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Saturday, 13 September 2025 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Where: Ballroom, Town Hall, Hobart Town Hall, 50 Macquarie Street

Step into a gardener’s paradise at the Spring Show, when Hobart bursts into colour withand over-the-top displays of seasonal flowers. Camellias, daffodils, and creative floral arrangements will captivate gardeners’ and photographers’ eyes.

6.  Healthy Hobart – Mountain Bike Trail Ride

When: Sunday, 14 September 2025, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Where: Pipeline Track, Fern Tree

Adventure seekers, this is for you! Experience a unique family adventure with a recreational mountain bike ride on the picturesque Pipeline Track in Fern Tree. Braking, turning, and balance are just a few of the basic skills to be mastered by experienced guides, and it’s perfect for children and beginners. 

Bring your bike or borrow one for nothing—but a helmet is mandatory, naturally. Fresh air, lovely bushland scenery, and plenty of enjoyment await this event, promoting fitness and exercise in the great outdoors.

7. Fern Tree Bushcare

When: Sunday, 14 September 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Where: Fern Tree area

Save the world and greet the locals at the Fern Tree Bushcare day. Volunteers will come together to rehabilitate and care for the local surroundings by weeding, planting natives, and cleaning trails. 

A wonderful Sunday morning out, with leaves and fresh forest aromas everywhere. Gloves and equipment provided, and experience not required, just enthusiasm and love of nature.

8. City of Hobart Floral Displays – Orchid Show

When: Thursday, 25 September 2025 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
